Cabal's Review

Yet another MMORPG that I played, it's called Cabal SEA. Why is it SEA and not just Cabal Online? It is because the ingenious developers have to come up with EU and JP version. It is called customisation. I think it is sort of cool. Since the MMORPG I played always consist of players from other timezone and languages. I find it hard to communicate at times. Now I wonder what the JP version looks like?

Currently the SEA version is in closed beta, and I somehow got myself to be "invited" to play. For most of the SG players, I believed they went to queue at E2Max for the installation CD and some sort of ID code. However, I am lucky to get my ID code through website. Well you thought I have saved the trouble to queue, I did join in the queue but didn't sign up. That makes myself a weird guy.

Cabal grapics are cool. I personally think that the developers combined the gaming concepts of SRO and 9Dragons, perhaps you can add in Maple. I did not play Maple but I read it off from the forum that some parts are like Maple.

The reason why I played this game is because I am bored. No job opportunity back at that time and so I have decided to have some electricity wastage activity. I know I should be doing tons of reading and workout for my NAPFA, but the temptation of slacking and wasting resources are greater. However, when I decided to carry out my plans. Something goes wrong, quite wrong.

Plans are never perfect. I don't know for other games, but Cabal closed beta is only available for playing from 7pm to 1am. That is just so marvellous. So I am forced to do some activities before 7pm.

So, what is fun about this game. Personally, I would think that this game is kind of difficult for me to play.

Firstly, you need to level, apparently there is no MMORPG you do not need to level.

Secondly, you need to allocate the right statistic, and it looks like it is ten-years series to me because they already define the minimum level of statistic you must have. Right, you must have.

Thirdly, just when you thought you have done a great level rush job, you still lost in PvP just because the level of your skills are not high enough to overpower the other player. WTH! There is another type of leveling you need to do!?

Lastly, the quests are insane! 3 lands in total and you have to go to the other lands almost all the time. I am so tired of all the running, and how I wished I am the character in the game because I can train my stamina at the same time.

But, there is something I would really like to praise. MMORPG always have multiple servers. Cabal actually have internal servers (channels) to control the number of players in the servers. You can take your character to a different channels and find your items intact and etc. So cool! However it isn't really working right now I guess. Because there is only one server working for the whole of SEA. There are like 12 channels in the server, but it is fully occupied within minutes. As this game has just started for SEA, all you can see that players are fighting for creeps and the creeps are taking their own sweet time to revive from the grave (I am fighting zombies currently). I just pray that the condition will improve after open beta.

Now, my character in the game is level 13. I didn't really play yesterday. Anyway, I don't really want to level up so fast because it is just closed beta and it will end on 29th Feb. Though it is just rumours from nowhere, but it just don't worth my time investing on a closed beta game. The other factor is that none of my MMORPG games last long. I have no patience you see, and I serious doubt I will continue playing after open beta.

After all, investing your time in games is just so stupid. I will just play dumb for a few days (perhaps weeks until I got a serious wake up call). Yawn~
