Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe
This morning, I am supposed to meet those buddies for regular basketball game, but the weather had ruined the plan. So, what we do is only breakfast and slack at JH's house.
Breakfast is alright, had a rather big bowl of porridge. Tasted not bad, guess I will eat again, as long as the waiting time is shorter. Slacking at JH's house is indeed quite torturing as we have no program for the rest of the day. Although I will like to go AMK Hub or Marina Square to look for nice clothes, but the thought of only able to see and not able to buy kills the mood.
Finally, JH wanted to try out HongKong Cafe. I, being Smart Alec, suggested the Bugis Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe, which the cafe is not what JH wanted to go. Anyway, we still went and try it out.
The service is below average, we stayed at the counter/ cashier for a while, in hope for service crew to serve us, but we got to self-service in looking for a table ourselves instead. In fact, there are supposed to have staff to serve us to our table.
With my budget and cheapskate mindset, the food there are expensive. So we tried to order food that is within the reasonable budget. Below are some of the photos.
Our table number.
This is the wrong order that is being served to us. We didn't drink it but it definitely looked like somebody has drink it.
This is the actual order, HongKong Iced Milk Tea. Tasted not bad.
JH's order, and it is one of the cheapest item there.
CY's order, sort of like Fillet-o-Fish from McDonalds, but it is not. You can say it is healthier because of the vegatables but I don't think CY appreciate it.
This is my order, which took long waiting time. Look more high class than JH and CY? Taste is not bad, and is best to eat the upper layer with the pudding and bread.
Although only ordered 2 items, it cost $8, include the 10% service charge and 7% GST. How I wished they don't charge the service charge because their service don't reflect upon the need to have service charge.
Well, school starts tomorrow and I have some plans which I hoped I can carry out successfully. Whatever it is, I'll just hope that tomorrow will be a enjoyable day.
