Being Fortunate
"Today is a very fortunate day. Don't you agree with me?"
Then Warrant Cheng would begin his morning speech on how fortunate we are, having legs to run and arms to do push-ups. I do feel that I am fortunate.
Even though I am not born with a silver spoon, I have a caring Mum who tends to my needs and make sure I have the best as long as she can afford. She is my greatest fortune.
When I was constantly being bullied when I was yoing, I am fortunate to have schoolmates with righteous aura to come to my rescue, comfort and encourage me to be strong.
Fairly weak in my studies, I am fortunate to know teachers and tutors who educate me, not only academical knowledge, but helped spark my interest in subjects that benefits me in the long run.
Being quite introvert, I am fortunate to befriend people who encourage me to open up more, who make me realise the wonders of friendship, who act as my role model so that I can be a better man.
I am indeed fortunate.
In fact, everybody is fortunate, for we know we all have someone to lean upon, and will support you in times of difficulties.
