National Vertical Marathon 2010
National Vertical Marathon is the second vertical running event I've joined since the start of my running hobby.
Like the first vertical, I didn't train for this event and worst still, I ran with a pair of aching hamstrings. Don't you simply love deadlift?
Anyway, I think the whole event is fairly well-organised. There's free photo-shoot, power-packed goodies pack and cute cheerleaders encouraging you as you scale the 63-storey high building. The baggage deposit system is quite different as you only deposit your belongings only when your wave is starting, hence cutting the possibility of having to stand in a long queue.
However, the registration booth should be made more prominent, and nearer to the baggage deposit. I don't know why must the two booths be so far apart. Not being able to bring camera up to the finishing point sort of defeats the purpose of opening up the rooftop isn't it?
Beside the event, I think it's a concept adopted by NTU Sports Club, there's always a mini carnival held with their main event. I think it's quite fun, with mini basketball, robotic bull-riding and other booths for you to visit. Or else the whole event would be very fast since one can complete the event within half an hour.
As for me, I went to visit the free spinal screening and I might have the answer to my chronic neck strain. With 3 months left to ORD, I think I should act fast to get my spine re-align before I burn my own pocket. Anybody can recommend me a Chiropractor?

I came, I climbed, I conquered.
