Keep It Simple, St*pid! I thought Simple Run is a good run organised by SGRUNNERS. Though I admit that it's pretty steep for the registration fee due to poor scale of economy, but it brings out the simplicity of running.

Running is really a simple hobby, yet it is no longer just a hobby.


These gadgets look familiar right?

This sport has become so commercialised to an extent I think it's quite scary. Almost all runners nowadays own at least one of the above. (I admit I do own an MP3 player)

Increasing number of running events are being organised, rising registration fees, more goodies in the event pack are signs which prove that running is now seen as a profitable business.

That's why I avoid wearing event T-shirt when possible since it's like wearing a "constant reminder".

Pay to run?

I know I am doing the very thing I am saying but I am cutting back. I am determined not to become a consumer, but a runner.
